Originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Brett Matthews offers a unique approach to alternative music by blending RnB, pop, and country to create melancholic and nostalgic tunes. He is compared to Noah Kahan, City & Colour, and Novo Amor. Since 2019, he has played guitar for Canadian hip-hop artist Classified’s band and has performed over 50 shows in front of crowds of 500, while also building his own audience through solo performances and singles.
